I have never blogged before. Anyhow, Jess Vogt (of HR fame) and I are co-captains this year of the "Reeve Mob" Dragon Boat team which is comprised of current and alumni UW Oshkosh students who have been privileged to be employed at Reeve Memorial Union. This is the third year our team has participated.
This year we are indebted to our director, Randy Hedge, for covering our team's registration fee and allowing us to participate. The cost of the athlete's village space and tent is being shared by our paddlers.
I would also like to mention how grateful we are for the kind and beautiful Laura Rommelfanger and her planning committee.
Winning is nice, but September 20th promises to be a fun-filled day regardless of what place we finish in. Our main goal as a team is to dominate over the Reeve "staff" boat.
